Hajra Mansoor is a graduate of Govt. College of Art and Craft Lucknow in 1964. She organized Karachi School of Arts in Karachi and researched in creative synthesis of painting and entered in the evolution of periodical phases in life time work. Her evolutionary periodic are Academic Realism, Classism, Oriental Intuitionism, Oriental formalism and Neo Romanticism. She exhibited her solo shows every year from 1963 to 2008 and also abroad including Bangladesh, India, China, Japan, Turkey, Iran, France, England, Germany, Hong Kong, Tokyo, Mumbai and America. Past shows include Grand Palace, Paris in 1984, in Gallery Alma Mosi, Paris in 1985, in Gallery "Hans Haiden ham" Dusseldor, West Germany in 1988 and in New York sponsored by United Nation in 2000.
Recipient of "Chughtai Award" sponsored by Pakistan National council of Arts in 1996. In year 2009 she has been awarded "Pride of Performance" by the President of Pakistan in recognition of her meritorious services towards the development of art in Pakistan. In addition to the above she has been declared "Safeer-e-Mashriq" of Pakistan.
